Electric light luxury.

The constant sound gone silent in the night
makes an unexpected noise
you miss.

So we use candles and kerosene.
Fill the silence with smells
of burning.

Loss of power
my precarious fear.
The electric stove gone cold.
What can you sterilize without boiling water?
The bubbling roar of safety,
light and
heat.
